खड्गेंदीवरकर्त्रिखपर्रभुजा हून्कारबीजोद्भवा।
खर्वा नील विशालपिंगलजटाजूटैकनागैयता,
जाडयंन्यस्य कपालके त्रिजगतां ह्न्त्युग्रतारा स्वयम्॥
Ma Tara seated in the pratyalidha asan be,
On corpse heart, supreme, laughing horribly,
Cleaver, blue lotus, dagger, bowl holding be,
Uttering the mantra Hum, colored blue clearly,
Mother Tara’s hair braided with snakes be,
She giving mystic powers to her devotees.

ध्यायेत कोटि दिवाकरद्युति निभां बालेन्दु युक् शेखरां

Recited to the one and only Goddess Sati
By Lord Mahadev Shiv but undoubtedly,
One who wears or recites this armor truly,
Of Mahavidya Tara will ever victorious be,
And will get all the material comfort surely,
It begets respect; rids fear, negative energy,

ॐ प्रत्य़ञ्गिरायै नमः॥
ईश्वर उवाच –
ॐ तारायाः स्तम्भिनी देवी मोहिनी क्षोभिनी तथा।
हस्तिनी भ्रामिनी रौद्री संहारण्यापि तारिणी।
शक्तयोहष्टौ क्रमादेता शत्रुपक्षे नियोजितः।
धारिता साधकेन्द्रेण सर्वशत्रु निवारिणी।
ॐ स्तम्भिनी स्त्रें स्त्रें मम शत्रुन् स्तम्भय स्तम्भय।
ॐ क्षोभिनी स्त्रें स्त्रें मम शत्रुन् क्षोभय क्षोभय।
ॐ मोहिनी स्त्रें स्त्रें मम शत्रुन् मोहय मोहय।
ॐ जृम्भिनी स्त्रें स्त्रें मम शत्रुन् जृम्भय जृम्भय।
ॐ भ्रामिनी स्त्रें स्त्रें मम शत्रुन् भ्रामय भ्रामय।
ॐ रौद्री स्त्रें स्त्रें मम शत्रुन् सन्तापय सन्तापय।
ॐ संहारिणी स्त्रें स्त्रें मम शत्रुन् संहारय संहारय।
ॐ तारिणी स्त्रें स्त्रें सर्व्वपद्भ्यः सर्व्वभूतेभ्यः सर्व्वत्र
रक्ष रक्ष मां स्वाहा॥
य इमां धारयेत् विध्यां त्रिसन्ध्यं वापि यः पठेत्।
स दुःखं दूरतस्त्यक्त्वा ह्यन्याच्छत्रुन् न संशयः।
रणे राजकुले दुर्गे महाभये विपत्तिषु।
विध्या प्रत्य़ञ्गिरा ह्येषा सर्व्वतो रक्षयेन्नरं॥
अनया विध्या रक्षां कृत्वा यस्तु पठेत् सुधी।
मन्त्राक्षरमपि ध्यायन् चिन्तयेत् नीलसरस्वतीं।
अचिरे नैव तस्यासन् करस्था सर्व्वसिद्ध्यः
ॐ ह्रीं उग्रतारायै नीलसरस्वत्यै नमः॥
इमं स्तवं धीयानो नित्यं धारयेन्नरः।
सर्व्वतः सुखमाप्नोति सर्व्वत्रजयमाप्नुयात्।
नक्कापि भयमाप्नोति सर्व्वत्रसुखमाप्नुयात्॥
इति रूद्रयामले श्रीमदुग्रताराया प्रत्य़ञ्गिरा कवचम् समाप्तम्॥

ॐ कारो मे शिर: पातु ब्रह्मारूपा महेश्वरी।
ह्रींकार: पातु ललाटे बीजरूपा महेश्वरी॥
स्त्रीन्कार: पातु वदने लज्जारूपा महेश्वरी।
हुन्कार: पातु ह्रदये भवानीशक्तिरूपधृक्।
फट्कार: पातु सर्वांगे सर्वसिद्धिफलप्रदा॥
नीला मां पातु देवेशी गंडयुग्मे भयावहा।
लम्बोदरी सदा पातु कर्णयुग्मं भयावहा॥
व्याघ्रचर्मावृत्तकटि: पातु देवी शिवप्रिया।
पीनोन्नतस्तनी पातु पाशर्वयुग्मे महेश्वरी॥
रक्त वर्तुलनेत्रा च कटिदेशे सदाऽवतु।
ललज्जिहव सदा पातु नाभौ मां भुवनेश्वरी॥
करालास्या सदा पातु लिंगे देवी हरप्रिया।
पिंगोग्रैकजटा पातु जन्घायां विघ्ननाशिनी॥
खड्गहस्ता महादेवी जानुचक्रे महेश्वरी।
नीलवर्णा सदा पातु जानुनी सर्वदा मम॥
नागकुंडलधर्त्री च पातु पादयुगे तत:।
नागहारधरा देवी सर्वांग पातु सर्वदा॥

तारिणी देवी स्तोत्र
ॐ
तारा च तारिणी देवी नागमुण्डविभूषिता।
ललज्जिह्वा नीलवर्णा ब्रह्मरूपधरा तथा॥
नागांचितकटी देवी नीलाम्बरधरा परा॥
I meditate on Goddess Tara or Tarini Devi,
Who helps us cross the Samsar sea worldly,
She the Naga-Munda-Vibhushita does be,
Who adorned with heads of demons clearly.

She the Brahma-Rupa-Dhara is actually,

नामाष्टकमिदं स्तोत्रं य शृणुयादपि।
तस्य सर्व्वार्थसिद्धिः स्यात् सत्यं सत्यं महेश्वरि॥
This Stotra with these Eight Names clearly,
Who listens and contemplates upon truly,
Gets tangible accomplishments in reality,
By grace of Great Goddess Maheshwari.
Shri Neela Saraswati stotra
(Prayer to the Blue Saraswati)
Neel or Blue Saraswati is form of Tara Devi,
A fierce goddess, also refer to as Nila Devi,
ॐ
घोर रूपे महारावे, सर्व शत्रु भयन्गरि।
भक्थेभ्यो वरदे देवी थ्राहि मां सरनगथं॥
Help me who surrenders to You totally,
Goddess with fierce form, great sound be,
Who is ever feared by all the enemies
And who blesses all her true devotees.

सुरसुरर्चिथे देवी, सिधा गन्धर्वा सेविथे।
जद्य पाप हरे देवी, थ्राहि मां सरनगथं॥
Help me who surrenders to You totally,
Goddess worshipped by devas, asuras be,
Who served by Sidhas, Gandarwas surely,
And who destroys all accumulated sin fully.

जतजुत समयुक्थे लोल जिह्वन्थ कारिणी।
दृथ बुधिकरे देवी, थ्राहि मां सरनगथं॥
Help me who surrenders to You totally,
Whose hair is but matted uncaringly,
Who ends darkness created by tongue be,
And who makes our brains work swiftly.

सोउम्य क्रोध धरे रूपे, चन्द मुण्ड नमोस्थुथे।
सृष्टि रूपे नमस्थुभ्यं, थ्राहि मां सरनगथं॥
Help me who surrenders to You totally,
Who angry with a placid nature do be,
And worshipped by Chanda, Munda be,
My salutes to You who Creation form be.

जडानां जदथां हन्थि, भक्थानां भक्था वत्सल।
मूदथां हर मय देवी, थ्राहि मां सरनगथं॥
Help me who surrenders to You totally,
Who destroys idiots as well as idiocy,
And who is very dear to her devotees,
Please destroy my foolishness totally.

वं ह्रूं ह्रूं कामये देवी, बली होम प्रिये नाम।
उग्र थारे नमो नित्यं, थ्राहि मां सरनगथं॥
Help me who surrenders to You totally,
Who likes chant Vam hroom hroom truly,
And sacrifices, offerings in the fire surely,
I salute every day the fierce Ma Tara Devi.

बुधिं देहि, यसो देहि, कविथ्वम् देहि देहि मय।
मूदथ्वम् च हरेर देवी, थ्राहि मां सरनगथं॥
Help me who surrenders to You totally,
Give me wisdom, fame and ability,
To write poems, recite them actually,
Please destroy the foolishness in me.

इन्द्रधि विलसद द्वन्द वन्धिथे करुणामयि।
थारे थारथि नाधस्ये, थ्राहि मां सरनगथं॥
Help me who surrenders to You totally,
Saluted by Indra, others as couple be,
Who is merciful to her true devotees,
Who Tara, lord ruling as Tara do be.

इधं स्तोत्रं पदेस्ध्यस्थु सथथं स्रधयोन्विथ।
थस्य शत्रु क्षयं यथि महा प्रज्ञा प्रजयथे॥
If this prayer is read daily and regularly,
With the utmost devotion and sincerely,
His enemies would be destroyed totally,
He will become greatly learned surely.

Shri Tara Ashtakam
मातर्नीलसरस्वति प्रणमतां सौभाग्यसम्पत्प्रदे
प्रत्यालीढपदस्थिते शिवह्रदि स्मेराननाम्भोरूहे।
फुल्लेन्दीवरलोचनत्रययुते कर्त्री कपालोत्पले
खंगे चादधती त्वमेव शरणं त्वामीश्र्वरीमाश्रये॥१॥
Salutations to blue hued Ma Sarasvati,
Who grants luck and wealth to devotee,
Who sits in heart of Lord Shiv smilingly,
With three prominent eyes undeniably.
The Eyes as blue lotus flowers open fully,
Dons skull, lotus, sword; You my hope be,
And I surrender to you, Goddess, totally,
Your left leg folded; right leg free does be.

वाचामीश्र्वरि भक्तकल्पलतिके सर्वार्थसिद्धिप्रदे
गद्यप्राकृतपद्यजातरचना सर्वत्र सिद्धिप्रदे।
नीलन्दीवरलोचनत्रययुते कारुण्यवारां निधे
सौभाग्यामृतवर्षणेन कृपया सिंच त्वमस्मादृशम्॥२॥
Word Goddess! Wish tree for devotees,
The giver of all wealth and power surely,
Who gives ability to create works literary,
The works in prose and poems clearly.
With 3 eyes as blue lotus flowers be,
You who are the sea of actual mercy,
Please drench me with the rain kindly,
Of nectar of great luck abandonedly.

शर्वे गर्वसमूहपूरिततनो सर्पादिवेषोज्ज्वले
व्याघ्रत्वक्परिवीतसुंदरकटिव्याधूतघंटांकिते।
सद्य: कृत्तगलद्रज: परिमिलन्मुंडद्वयीमूर्धज
ग्रन्थिश्रेणिनृमुंडदामललिते भीमे भयं नाशय॥३॥
Goddess of all - filled with pride clearly,
Shines due to ornaments like snake truly,
Who decorates her pretty hips certainly,
With tiger hide and ringing bells loudly.
Who decorated with garland does be,
Made out of tiny hairs unquestionably,
Of 2 blood drenched heads cut freshly,
Macro goddess, destroy my fears fully.

मायानंगविकारुपललनाबिन्द्वर्धचन्द्रात्मिके
हुंफट्कारमयि त्वमेव शरणं मंत्रात्मिके माद्रश:।
मूर्तिस्ते जननि त्रिधामघटिता स्थूलाऽतिसूक्ष्मा परा
वेदानां न हि गोचरा कथमपि प्राप्तां तु तामाश्रये॥४॥
You combination of Maya bheeja be,
"Hum phat" - You place of surrender be,
Oh mother your body is made certainly,
Of Brahma, Vishnu, Shiv – holy trinity.
And even that form of yours gross be,
Micro and also very divine undoubtedly,
This form not understood by Vedas be,
I surrender to that form unquestionably.

यत्पादाम्बुजसेवया सुयमिनो गच्छन्ति सायुज्यतां
तस्य स्त्री परमेश्वरी त्रिनयनब्रह्मादिसाम्यात्मन:।
संसारांबुधिमज्जने पटुतनून्देवेन्द्रमुख्यान्सुरान्मात
स्त्वपदसेवने हि विमुखो यो मंदधी: सेवते॥५॥
You consort of Lord Parameshwar be,
Serve His lotus like feet ever sincerely,
People attain salvation, who splits be,
To forms of Shiv and Brahma clearly.
He who serves Devendra earnestly,
Others not worshipping You clearly,
Wastes their whole time in the sea,
Of materialism, is a fool undoubtedly.

मातस्त्वत्पदपंकजद्वयरजोमुद्रांककोटिरिण
स्ते देवा जयसंगरे विजयिनो नि:शंकमंके गता:।
देवोऽहं भुवने न मे सम इति स्पर्धा वहंत: परं
तत्तुल्यं नियतं यथासुभिरमी नाशं व्रजंति स्वयम्॥६॥
Oh mother without any doubt surely,
In war the devas killed their enemies,
Due to dust of your lotus as pair of feet,
Which touching their crowns does be.
And those devas shine in this world be,
Without an equal because of it certainly,
And others destroy themselves clearly,
Thinking no one equal to them does be.

त्वन्नामस्मरणात्पलायनपरा द्रष्टुं च शक्ता न ते
भूतप्रेतपिशाचराक्षसगणा यक्षाश्र्च नागाधिपा:।
दैत्या दानवपुंगवाश्र्च खचरा व्याघ्रादिका जंतवो
डाकिन्य: कुपितांतकाश्र्च मनुजं मात: क्षणं भूतले॥७॥
Without being even able to fully see,
Those who meditate on You actually,
Ghosts, dead souls, devils, nagas clearly,
Groups of Rakshasas, Yakshas certainly.
Asuras, dhanavas, evil spirits plainly,
Who travel in the skies hinderingly,
Dakinins and the killers very angry,
And run away from them speedily.

लक्ष्मी: सिद्धगणाश्र्च पादुकमुखा: सिद्धास्तथा चारणा:
स्तम्भश्र्चापि रणांगणे गजघटास्तम्भस्तथा मोहनम्।
मातस्त्वत्पदसेवया खलु नृणां सिद्धयन्ति ते ते गुणा:
कान्ति: कान्तमनोभवस्य भवति क्षुद्रोपि वाचस्पति:॥८॥
Goddess, by serving your feet truly,
Man as per his desire gets certainly,
Wealth, power to travel in sky clearly,
Gifted with the magical powers does be
Able to stop water, control elephants fully,
And he able attracting the world surely,
Gets prettiness of Love God unfailingly,
Even a fool over Wisdom gets mastery.

ताराष्टकमिदं रम्यं भक्तिमान् य: पठेन्नर:।
प्रातर्मध्याह्न्काले च सायाह्ने नियत: शुचि:॥९॥
लभते कथितां दिव्यां सर्वशास्त्रार्थविद्भवेत्।
लक्ष्मीमनश्र्वरां प्राप्य भुक्त्वा भोगान यथेप्सितान्॥१०॥
कीर्ति कान्तिं च नैरुज्यं सर्वेषां प्रियतां व्रजेत्।
विख्यातिं चापि लोकेषु प्राप्यांते मोक्षमापनुयात्॥११॥
A devotee who reads this of Tara daily,
Purifying in morning, noon, evening truly,
He a divine poet, know Shastras totally,
Get wealth, pleasure desires fulfilled be.
He would get fame, handsomeness surely,
And would be liked by everyone universally,
His fame will spread world-wide assuredly,
At end he would get salvation unfailingly.
9-11
Thus ends the octet on Tara occurring in Neelathanta.
